The bird feeder near my window brings frequent inquisitive and lively visitors. They queue up, flit from branch to branch and occasionally squabble with one another, however there is coherence to their social interactions. If I sit very still they do not fear me. They do not fly away.

I placed this feeder to give me pause. A reminder to notice the world around me. A place to rest eyes and mind.

This series of reflections, blogs, articles and musings is tribute to those quiet moments as thoughts flit about. A space for playing with ideas, before getting to the busyness of ‘serious work’. A place to connect to thoughts, feelings and our nature, and the nature of the connections we have.

Here, confusion and chaos are honest companions. Witnesses to what unfolds.

Welcome.
